Requests for repeat prescriptions should be brought to the surgery at least 48 hours before collection and 3 days before if collecting from the chemist. Please use the collection box in reception.
Prescriptions can be renewed using our on line service by following the simple instructions. Our prescriptions are computer generated.
If you wish we can arrange for your prescription to be collected by a local chemist. Please speak to the receptionist who will give you more details about this service.
Please note that prescriptions at Heighington can be picked up at any time during opening hours. We also offer a delivery service for repeat prescriptions please speak to the Heighington receptionists about this service.
There is also a repeat prescription telephone ordering service for both Bewick and Heighington patients operating from Monday to Friday between 2.00pm and 5.00pm.This line will only be connected at these times and will only deal with repeat prescriptions. The number is 01325 318697.
Remember that we close for bank holidays including Christmas, Boxing Day and New Years' Day. To avoid unnecessary stress, and to allow our staff to get home to their families on time, please remember to order your repeat prescription in good time.
If you have not signed up for this service please contact the surgery first to register.
SystmOnLine is an in built feature of our clinical software system (systmone) that allows existing patients to order repeat prescriptions. We hope to extend the on line services in the near future to allow patients to change their contact details and make on line appointments.
We have provision to dispense to patients who live in or around Heighington. The Health Service Regulations on this matter are very strict and this service can only be offered to those patients who register as dispensing when they join the practice or when they move house.
For more information, please telephone the surgery and a member of our dispensary staff will be pleased to answer your queries.
The practice is currently working with NHSBSA to help identify patients that are suitable for electronic repeat dispensing (EPS).
